Have I mentioned how much I LOVE all of the couples I have booked for 2019?! I feel so lucky to have such amazing clients who hire me to capture their special milestones that lead up their wedding day! Upon meeting with Lori and Evan, they laughed and told me that they aren’t super photogenic…AND LET ME TELL YOU- these two ROCKED their engagement session. Probably one of the most easy going, natural couples in front of the camera, like, ever. What made this session even more fun was that I had my son Liam with us in the stroller as my little side kick. Babies make everyone smile! ;) But really, Lori and Evan were so fun to photograph.
Happy Monday, friends! It’s my last week of maternity leave and I am over here trying to get caught up on all my sessions before the craziness really starts next week! You may remember this cute family from earlier in the year, when I photographed their in-home lifestyle session. Well I was honored when they had me photograph them again this fall, right after Graham turned one! A lot changed since May when I saw the Wheeler family- Graham is now walking, and he is QUICK! They got to meet my son, Liam, too! I was over 6 months pregnant with him when I first photographed the Wheelers.
It's the first day of August and I feel like I've been waiting for this month to arrive since, well, since I found out I was pregnant at the end of November! Our baby boy is due in 9 days and we are absolutely ready to meet our little love. At 36 weeks pregnant I photographed my last wedding before taking maternity leave and it was AMAZING! Caitlin and Sean's wedding day was so beautiful here in Columbus on July 14th at the Athletic Club of Columbus. Talk about a gorgeous venue, ahhhh it was so elegant and classy inside. Caitlin and Sean were so much fun to photograph and run around Columbus with for bridal party portraits.
It's wedding Wednesday over here and I've got another gorgeous couple to show off! Kelly and Ben's wedding day was sooooo dreamy here in Columbus last month at the Wells Barn (part of the Franklin Park Conservatory). Have I mentioned how much I LOVE an outdoor wedding?! Ahhh, my favorite. It was the perfect mix of chic, intimate, and rustic. Typical Ohio weather was calling for rain all day and luckily it held off until the very end of the bride & grooms portraits, which actually created a pretty dramatic dark sky as a backdrop for a few of the photos against the barn. It all turned out to be perfect though and everyone danced the night away inside the Wells Barn as the rain poured through the night. I loved all of the details that made their day complete, especially the bridal party colors, Kelly's jewelry, and Ben's stitched in initials and wedding date on his suit shirt.
Another beautiful wedding on the blog today! And this one is super close to my heart as we got to celebrate the beautiful marriage between our friends Kelly and Troy! I met Kelly in 2008 at UD when I went to visit my best friend Steph. I can't even count how many fun times we all had together when I would make weekend trips throughout our four years of college to go visit all of the girls. I remember meeting Troy our senior year of college and him and Kelly were just perfect together. Since I didn't get to see this group of friends as often, as we all were starting to graduate and go our own ways with careers, I loved keeping in touch with Kelly through social media and seeing all of her and Troy's photos together. Troy proposed in such a romantic way on the rooftop of the Rhinegeist Brewery in Cincinnati with all of their family and friends there to celebrate. So it only made sense that they decided to go back to Rhinegeist and celebrate another huge event in their lives...their WEDDING reception!
Happy Monday!! I can't believe June is almost over, this summer is flying by already. Totally fine by me, as we can't wait for our little love to make his entrance into the world in just about 6 weeks!! AHHHHH!! :) I've been saying for awhile how I planned on sharing all about my pregnancy so far, and I finally had some down time today! They aren't kidding when they say you go through lots of ups and down during pregnancy. Which makes sense right?!...I'm creating a human over here! I'll never forget the day we found out I was pregnant, and it's been the best blessing ever since. I think every emotion possible ran through both Sean and I's bodies/minds...excitement, shock, nervousness, scared, happy beyond belief. I feel like I have always been meant to be a mom, and I can't wait to raise lots of babies with my hubby and create an incredible family together.
