The month of October was a busy one for most of us photographers.  Sometimes it's hard to balance the day-to-day chores, work life, family time, and just taking time to breathe and relax.  One thing is for sure though, keeping your creativity alive is essential, and for me this still involves my camera and making portraits.  A good friend of mine, Jocelyn with Inphinite Photography, put together a beautiful styled engagement session with other Columbus vendors, and I was lucky enough to take part.  Community over competition is so important to many of us local creatives, and networking is the best way to meet new florists, photographers, stylist, etc.

Blake and Corbin are actually recently engaged and were the perfect couple for this shoot!  They pulled off both looks (dressy & casual) so well.  We were all swooooooning over them!  We played on the idea of a more dressy and sophisticated look with the grunge atmosphere of an area off Rich Street in Columbus.  The photos turned out pretty amazing and the lighting was perfect that morning.  After that session, we went back to Jocelyn's, talked about photography/networking tools/photogear, and then set back out for the next location at an apple orchard for a more casual look.  Those may have actually turned out to be some of my favorite photos! It has rained on our way there, so the dew on the apples and the grass, and the semi-gray skies were a nice touch.

It was such a pleasure collaborating and working with so many amazingly talented vendors! I love this city and I love everyone's passion to meet new creatives and actually CREATE!  Thank you Jocelyn for arranging this styled session and for being such a great friend.
